NEW HONEY BEE

WELCOME AS A NEW INDEXER IN MESA SOUTH STAKE

We are the Honey Bee Group

A single honeybee does not gather a lot of nectar all by itself, but the cumulative effect of many Honey Bees actively gathering is huge.  Contributions of each active indexer (or Honey Bee) are important no matter how large or small.

Pres. Johnson set a goal for The Mesa South Stake Honey Bees in 2016 as:

                    2,000,000 records completed in 2016
200 Active Honey Bees each month

(A Honey Bee is encouraged to index a minimum of 200 records per month, but the important thing is to index every month).

GROUP ADMINISTRATORS
Most of the wards in the Mesa South stake have a "Group Administrator" whose job is to encourage you, recruit and answer your questions.  Contact your Group Administrator when you have a question.  If you do not know who they are, contact your bishop or call the Stake Directors:

Wallace Haws:  480-313-0169   Edith Haws 480-760-1034

GETTING STARTED
There is specific training for the new indexer at this location.  Click the following link:

It will look like the following.  Notice it will help you get started, give links to Help Articles, Language and Handwriting helps, a Tutorial, and FAQs.  Check it out!

"RECORDS and SETTING PERSONAL GOALS"
A monthly report is sent to the Stake Presidency and the bishops as to who is doing indexing service in the stake and the number of records completed.  "Records" completed not "Points" are reported on the reports given to your priesthood leaders.  You can also determine the number of records you have competed at any time.  The following video explains how to Set Goals and how to share a batch with someone so you can ask questions as you are working on a batch.

February 2016 Indexing report

We are very grateful to all the Honey Bees who took time to index during the month of February.  Please take time to review the report that follows and  to watch the HONEY BEE HIGHLIGHT that follows the reports.

Graph of Stake Progress

We need everyone to do at least one batch during the month to reach our goal of 200 Honey Bees every month.  If 200 people would index every month, it would be within our reach to index 2,000,000 records in a year.

It was our pleasure to interview one of the top indexers in the Mesa South Stake, Millie Smith of the Dana Ward.  Please enjoy her highlight below.

Mesa South Stake 2016 Stake Goals

President Ray Johnson set the Mesa South Stake 2016 Indexing goals for 2016 as follows:

  • 200 Honey Bees each month
  • 2,000,000 total records completed in 2016
A Honey Bee is defined as a member of the Mesa South Stake Indexing group who has completed any number of records for the month.

We hope to encourage people to make indexing a regular part of their routine at whatever level they can fit it into their schedule.

2,000,000 records for the year is a very ambitious goal, but we believe by shooting for high and lofty goals we will achieve great things.

You can determine the number of records you have submitted by looking under "My Goals" on the opening page of the indexing program.  The number of records counted to reach the 2,000,000 record goal is the sum total of records indexed plus records arbitrated.
